Pet Relocation FAQs
Can I use my own pet travel crate?
You can, but it needs to meet the airline’s requirements and be the right size for your pet. Your pet should be able to stand, turn around and lie down comfortably inside it.
If a travel crate is being arranged as part of the pet relocation, the specialist team can confirm the appropriate size rather than leaving you to guess.
Can two pets travel in the same crate?
Sometimes. Whether two pets can travel together depends on the animals, their size and the airline requirements for the journey.
If you’re moving more than one pet, let us know when requesting the quote so the specialist pet travel team can confirm whether they can share a crate or need to travel separately.
Should I sedate my pet if they are anxious about flying?
Generally, no. Our specialist pet relocation provider advises against sedating pets for air travel because it can lower blood pressure and contribute to dehydration during the flight.
If your pet is particularly anxious, mention it when arranging the move. Getting them comfortable with their travel crate beforehand can also make travel day much less unfamiliar.
Can snub-nosed dogs and cats travel?
They can in some circumstances, but brachycephalic breeds need extra assessment because they can be more vulnerable during air travel.
